Simone graduated with honors from State University of New York, College at Oneonta with a B.S. in dietetics, followed by completing her dietetic internship with the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT. It was here that Simone began getting experience in her rotations with eating disorders in a residential level of care for adolescents, transitioning to her current role as a dietitian in a residential setting for adult, female-identifying and nonbinary persons.
Simone is passionate about encouraging anyone and everyone to find trust in their body to intuitively nourish and heal. Using a non-diet, Health at Every Size, and Intuitive Eating approach, she works with clients to practice self-care through mindful eating practices. Simone challenges clients using hands-on, creative, Exposure Response Prevention techniques to reduce anxieties that have led to a disconnected relationship with food and body.
Outside of work, Simone enjoys spending time with family, her two cats, camping, as well as being lazy and watching cartoons. In her spare time, she practices yoga, and has obtained a 200 Hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and enjoys using these techniques to share with those who want to learn to move through the ups and downs of life like a well-organized vinyasa.
