
Kelsey Gilbert, M.A., is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford’s Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology. She is both a Virtual Assistant and Eating Disorder Recovery Coach providing individual and group services such as meal support, and individual support services with grocery shopping, restaurant, and clothing shopping outings, and skills review sessions.
Prior to her work at Nourish the Heart Counseling, Kelsey has six years of experience in eating disorder treatment providing individual and group therapy, assessment, and meal coaching across levels of care. She also has experience as a therapist in college mental health and the partial hospital level of care for adults diagnosed with mood, anxiety, personality, and psychotic disorders. Kelsey’s dissertation and related research focuses on weight stigma and its impact on eating disorder symptoms and weight bias internalization for individuals with “atypical” anorexia nervosa. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys hiking, playing video games, and spending time with her family, friends, and two cats.
